History

The Merced Colony Grange was the first local Grange in Merced County. It was Grange #527 established on July 31, 1933. The Merced Colony Grange built a hall at 2711 E. Childs Avenue, which served as the meeting place and location of many social events. The hall is currently rented to Redemption Church, but the Grange continues to meet at alternative locations and host events in Merced.
